Jared had a great fourth birthday. He is into pirates and wanted a pirate birthday. The kids had a chance to color their own treasure maps. Then we used the treasure maps to go on a hunt for treasure. We went all through the house and the map finally lead to the plank! The kids walked the plank to have a whack at the treasure pinnate. (Which was full of candy wrapped in gold and silver) After our hunt the kids got to throw cannon balls (black water balloons) which was a big hit. Then we had cake and ice cream. Jared was then very ready to open his presents. After the presents we read some wonderful pirate books and then watched Sinbad the movie until the parents arrived. It was a fun birthday!
